A discussion with Abu Jaker.

Abu is a Building Control Surveyor for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Abu had completed his bachelors degree in Building Surveying (part time), early 2020, prior to enrolling onto another relating to Fire Engineering. Abu is also currently completing his RICS APC. 

We take the opportunity to discuss Abu's humble beginnings into building control and Local Authority as well as his experiences at college and university. Abu also provides an insight as to his decision making process to complete another bachelors degree, enrolling not six months from completion of his previous degree in Building Surveying. We discuss how Abu maintains a balanced work and personal life balance and the importance having 'downtime'.
