“Comfort my people … Eagles wings … when you pass through the waters”. This episode includes some of the best known, well loved verses in Isaiah.  In Isaiah 40-55, Isaiah casts his vision forward to the exile in Babylon. The people of Judah are in captivity in the Babylonian empire. Away from their homeland, defeated and destitute they ask the questions:  - Does God still love us; does he care? - is he aware of what’s happening to us; does he know? - is he strong enough to save us.  God answers emphatically yes! There is hope for heavy hearts.
