The first episode in book 2 of Isaiah; “the Exile in Babylon”. In chapters 38-39, Isaiah again uses the literary device of lifting historical text straight from 2 Kings, to demonstrate the rise of the Babylonian super-power, which would dominate Judah’s history for nearly a hundred years.  

Hezekiah’s illness, miraculous recovery but ultimate failure drives home the message: Keep living for God, right to the end!
