11:28 / January 1, 2017 / Run / Adàwe Crossing, Strathcona Park / I’m a marathon runner and triathlete / I run almost every day / Running for me is a way to connect with the city, one step at a time / Ottawa has great running trails and green spaces / You hear me breathing, saying ‘goodmorning’ to neighbours, passing a snowblower / My run ends at the Adàwe Crossing, a bridge that connects pedestrians and cyclists on either side of the Rideau River / The bridge features a sculpture by Ottawa artist Ken Emig : two stainless steel reflective spheres that offer a reflected panoramic views of the area / It’s joyful to run by this sculpture and see a 360 degree reflection of the landscape while listening to ducks and geese below //
