9:34 / November 17, 2016 / Les Halles d'Anjou / 45.597492, -73.566159 / Going For Breakfast With My Mom / While sitting on a bench in the middle of an indoor mall rife with sounds of people and their machines, the idle visitor can bask inside a flux of mechanic frequencies / Ventilation systems drive drones into a reverberant space, topped with windows and a soaring ceiling; an empty bakery is brightly lit / Another day might have seen clearer light streaming in, but this morning bears the cloudy remnants of a rainy evening / I watch as people disappear further into the mall on the right or out the doors on the left / Determined workers on the clock walk purposefully, puncturing the stagnant drones with the sound of rusty trolleys, while patrons walk slower, barely making any noise at all / I'm going to have breakfast with my mom, bagel and cream cheese //
