20:03 / January 10, 2017 / Intersection of Boulevard Langelier and Rue Chauvin / 45.585660, -73.552195/ Working To A Street Sign Clamour / A metal sign caught in an open space clamours against the pole it hangs off of / I can see this sign from outside my window, while I work and occasionally glance out of the haven of my space / Tonight the rickety noise emanating from below my second floor apartment reveals the strength of this winter wind / I place the recorder on my balcony inside a makeshift snow enclosure where it cannot fall / Mobilized by the howling wind, frozen snow sputters around the recorder and its windscreen, imitating the sonic effect that might be created by snow falling on a hood and winter clothes / Cars stream by, unheard in their redundancy as the street sign punctuates the space //
