Sam Lofton is a former professional women’s soccer player who was a D1 standout athlete at James Madison University. She was drafted 20th overall in 2015 to the NWSL Boston Breakers. After two seasons in the NWSL she went on to play two and a half seasons in Europe, where she won two championships and was notably the best left defender in Iceland. She retired in 2018 after becoming a certified Functional Medicine Health Coach and a certified Meditation and Mindfulness coach. She now teaches meditation to athletes as a form of mental training for sport and life.
