I hope that at the end of the year, we can learn and be inspire from the past and moving on to the next year. Theres a lot of uncertainty for next year, but it's always like that. So let us make the best that we can to make next year better. Hope you have a great year and a wonderful year ahead.
There are a lot of people share how easy it is to achieve that financial freedom. But is it really that easy? Listen to find out more.
With the advancement of technology and also information. A lot (or most) of the information are available for free. You can find any answer for any topics on your mind. So How to filter out all this available informations? I would like to share some steps that I'm testing out: first is to be careful and search based on your believe. You will get answer based on what you searched for (duh). Which is fine. We'll start from there. Second, will be about testing the information. People will say it works or not works based on their experience. But what if it is the opposite for you? (I. E. It not works for other but works for you). That leads to the last point which is to be patience in testing it. In the instant Era, we really think that the result should be obvious in terms of days. But sometimes it will need more time to grow, so I would like to remind you and me to be patient in doing this. I will try to do the steps specify on what I found and see how it works. By doing this, I can really share what works and what not works. Hopefully that will help you and me to move forward also. Hope you enjoy this episode. Until next time.
In this episode, I'm not trying to defend the fake guru. But to have different perspective or mindset to think that the guru might be sharing a genuine content but just doesn't work for you and me. This thinking started from a comment I read about the teaching is not working. To really claim this, let ask ourselves: do we really do the work that they mentioned? And the next thing will be the guru might have different style from our learning habit or our personality. So it doesn't work for you and me. Listen on to the podcast to learn more on this. Please share your thoughts if you have on the topic or any topic you would like to share. Together we can grow ourselves to be better with the challenges ahead.
A quotes that I want to share for today. 'Do more what makes you happy' - anonymous. We're being bombarded by news, social media posts that shows how beautiful, how fortunate other people are. By doing this it makes you and I frustrated. In this post, I'm sharing my thoughts to back to happiness
In Today's episode, I'm sharing my pondering thoughts from an old animation movie from Disney called 'meet the Robinson' (2007). One pondering thoughts that comes to mind from that movie is about going to the past. If you and I were given a chance to change 1 thing in the past, what will you change? Or will you change anything? For me it's quite tricky as I'm not sure what or who I will be if I change that one thing. But we have our present time. We also know from our past experience of what has happened and what we should do. So the next question would be, what will you do different today that can help you moving closer towards your goal? My suggestion is to take a step. Keep in mind that there's no such thing as the perfect step. So taking a step will allow us to know whether it's a good or bad step. Then we learn from it and pivot. Hope this pondering question is good for you as well so that you can do something different today. Have a great day ahead.
I've shared about setting goals early this year. In this episode, I'm sharing about a new thing that I learn about intention. It's basically will be your additional source of 'why' for your goals. For a short summary, my goals for this episode are: to have you and I to think about our intention. It's about your being intent for this year. Second, is to get support from peoe around you. Just like goals, your intention will be sustainable when you have supportive people. Third, or rather an extension from number 2, is to make your intention about other people. Because when you be better (whatever "better" means according to you) it will be better when it is for another people. It's not fun if you're happy on top of other people's suffering. Be better because you make a difference with your intention.
For today, I would like to Wishing you a happy Chinese lunar new year. May you be blessed and have a prosperous year ahead. Have a great years ahead.
In Today's topic I'm sharing something that I learn from Brendon burchard on entrepreneurs challenge. (www.growthday.com/ecc) I learn something new about the input of starting a business. There are 2 input: customer outcome and (your) lifestyle value. Feel free to follow the link above to join the free 7 days course to learn more. I'm sharing some input about what to consider when you want to start or to find your main business /side hustle. If time is the essence, you might want to consider affiliate marketing. Which means to sell other people products/services. This will require less money, less time, and slightly easier work (there always something you need to do. Even though it might be hard, but it's easier compare to other ways) my recommendations in this topic are clickbank (www.clickbank.com) or wealthy affiliate (https://tinyurl.com/waflim). Feel free to try and have a look. If you have more questions or want to share something else, feel free to reach out to me. I'll try to answer from what I learn and learn from you from your sharing. (note: the link above contains affiliate link. If you consider to support me, appreciate if you can click the link. Otherwise, you can search online for that resource) thanks for your time. Have a great day ahead.
I've been missing a few updates on my content. That's lead me to today's episode which is to just do it. Many things that we want to do has a lot of barrier mostly from ourselves. So here are some thoughts of why we should just do it? First, this is the way for us to learn better. To make us see the possibility by putting it into practice. Second, we'll learn what works and what not works for us. And third, the worst thing that can happen to us is minor compare to the return of investment. I shared a quotes in this episode also for our consideration. 'insanity is doing the same thing over and over again n, but expecting a different result' - anonymous
We've talked about killing time about last week. For today episode, I would like to share a pondering thought about the other side, which is about saving time. Can we save time? I'm sharing some lesson learned about this topic. First, we can't really save time. We can only spend time. Second, in order for us to spend it better, we need to be prepare for it. And last, for better use spend the same mount of time for the other activity also. I'm not sayul8ing to be really strict, but this is to show that the saved time has really spent well. Enjoy the rest of the day and Have a great day ahead.
In Today's episode, I'm sharing about a quotes that I read recently form an article. Keep in mind, This might be taken a bit out of context, but I hope it inspire you as it elinsoire me. The quotes come from Tim Cook. He says "the path of least resistance is rarely the path of wisdom." it's true in the sense of in many ads that I heard recently, the ads always tell how easy it is to do anything. Be it from starting a company, be an entrepreneur, start making money on the side with what you know, etc. While this story might be true, but these are the lessons I learned. First, easy is not really easy. Second, the easy actually comes from experience (and how we practice it). lastly, we are meant for something great. These greatness might be different between each of us. So while we are in the journey in finding our greatness, use what we have to improve our live. Find the purpose of our life and excel in it. Please listen in for more information. And share your thoughts on this. I'd love to hear from you. Until next time.
In todsus episode, I want to share about something that I'm pondering about. Sometimes, without us realizing it, we give enough power to other people to build or break us. It's good if it's for building ourselves. But most of the time it's breaking us. There are 4 kinds of people that we give power to: people that we don't know (stranger) , people that we just know (or just met), people that close to us (family member, friends, etc), and ourselves. What I want us to learn are: to give proper power to the people that can make us better, second, is to put the power in context. Don't let it control our behavior too much either positive and/or negative. We still nerd to celebrate, but don't think it's already done. There are some more things to go. And last, is to remember to use the power that we have on ourselves. Use that power to control yourself to make yourself better. By being better, we will be better for other people also. Listen in and share your thoughts about today's episode. Until next time, keep being awesome.
Note, I'm sharing my affiliate link for the tools below. Appreciate if you can support, if it's useful for you. In today's episode, I want to share about what I learn and try to do on managing my tasks. Everyday we will have something to do that relates to different bucket/project. It could be related for your family, work, or any other thing. The main idea is to complete your task or things to do. The tools are there only to help you record the what and when you need to complete it. I've tried a few tools. But mostly I like todoist (www.todoist.com) and nozbe (https://nozbe.com/?a=limanto). You can visit their website and see which one works best for you. In term of strategy/ways to prioritize, I'm learning to segregate my task to a Eisenhower matrix. Basically, you will rate your task to falls into: Important and Urgent (something you need to tackle it by then and there); Important and Not Urgent (something like your yearly goals. You need to do something today, but the completion date is still far); Not Important and Urgent (I. E. alert on phone, some meetings) ; Not Important and Not Urgent (something for fun). I would think you won't record the activity on the last one (not important and not urgent) I suggest you be honest and record it down. Then you can reduce the time for 1 or 2 task in this category so that you can allocate it for something else, especially the second one (Important and Not Urgent) so that you and I can complete what we need to do. Feel free to share what works or not works with me so that we can learn it together. Keep safe and see you next time.
For today episode, there's a quote that I find it good continuation of what we've learned this week. The quote is "If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse."- Jim Rohn. Let this be a good reminder and inspiration for you and me to keep moving forward. Let us find a way that allliw us to do something useful despite of those many excuses that we have. Feel free to share me your story or Hoit what you think.
For today episode, I'm sharing a quote that I found recently about time. It says "Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back." - Harvey MacKay . I heard the term a few months back about the best games/app to kill time. I don't remember what's the app/game now, but the ads literally says that. So in this episode, I want to continue the discussion about habit, and how to tweak a bit on how we spend time so that it can benefit for our future.
For today episode, I want to share the lesson I learn about habit from 'the power of Habit' by Charles Duhigg. The main idea is that we all have habit. And since we want to achieve our goals for the next month, quarter or even year, the habit that we have might not serve us to achieve the goal. And removing bad habit is harder than we assume. It is better to tweak our current habit. What does it mean? Find out more from this episode. Hope that it can help you and me to push forward to your goal.
This episode give you my 2 cents about woocommerce. For a disclaimer, I haven't use it personally. But from what I see, including the demo, it's a powerful platform that you can use to setup for your online shop also. You can really use it for free and if you feels like it, you can have better flexibility to customize your own woocommerce shop. This is just an alternative that you can use to setup your shop. Keep in mind, for woocommerce, you'll need a WordPress website as the main platform and woocommerce will be the plug in on your website. Don't worry, you can get free theme on WordPress also. Feel free to reach out to me if you have some question or there's something that you want to share about this. I'll be glad to learn together and share what I know with you.
Three question that you can ask yourself for your problem in life. In this episode, I want to share the questions that I found. This is quite a basic thing which you might have think about it before. Listen and answer it yourself. Hope it is a good reminder for you and me to get past our current situation.
For today episode, Im sharing about some highlight that I found from shopify (www.shopify.com). I find that this is a good platform for you to create an Ecommerce platform. If you're thinking to use it for something else, it might not be as good as other platform. For example, for blogging or newsletter, shopify have the capability, but might not be enough as per what you need. A few key things to highlight: it's easy to setup a shop through shopify, there are a lot of support that you can get for your journey both from the community or the official shopify support, and there's a lot of apps for you to install in the shop to help you on whatever you need. Keep in mind though don't install all the available apps. It will slows down your site. Please have a look and try it out if you ever want to create an online store.
In Today's episode, I want to share a quote that pops up on my mind/screen to start the day. It's the quotes from Jim Rohn. It says 'motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going'. I want to share this as a reminder for you and me that motivation itself is not enough to keep us continue to keep doing or chasing our goal for the better self. But with right habit you can keep moving forward. Have a great day ahead.
In this episode, it's a bit off track from what I usually share, but this is something I got asked about this. The story is about a friend of mine that want to move away from an established online shop (I.e. Amazon, eBay, etc) to an individual shop. I shared about 2 main things; pick a platform (I. E. Shopify, woocommerce, etc) and choose a domain. I explain a bit about the 2 process briefly in the episode. Hope it will help to answer some of your questions too. Please listen in and share your thoughts.
In this episode, I'm sharing about lesson learn to find your passion/idea. Sometimes the idea comes from the simple thing. I know there are other people has bombarded you with their big ideas that might not be suitable for you. But the idea can come from something you know or you intend to learn. So the way to share your thinking can be from the perspective of you have gone through it and then you're teaching it. Or the other way is to share it while you're doing it. That sounds appealing to me, so I hope in the meantime I can share what I learned and put a note out there for a reminder and a journal of what's happening. And remember, it will take time. Again, a note for myself and for you as well. Be patient. Dont give up if it's not working in the next few days. Give more time. And see how it goes. In the episode, I mentioned that I don't know who the person is, and I put the link here (https://gooddadproject.com/about/) for you to learn about his story too. See for yourself whether it resonate with you also or not. Have a great day ahead
Hi, this episode share and remind us to take action with our idea. The idea will amount to something when you take an action. Don't beat yourself when you fail on somehting. As I mentioned before, treat it like an event and learn from it. Make a peace with yourself of what happen and move on. Remember this, time will always run. No matter what you do or don't do. Make time from what you have. Your idea worth nothing when it's in your head, but it will be something when you take action to it. Be patient, when you see that it doesn't feel like moving, spend more time, maybe weeks, months or years. And then look backwards. See how far you have gone. Have a great day ahead
Hi, for today episode I would d like to share a quotes I learned today and share some thoughts on it so that we can instill and do it in our lives. The quotes is from Jim Rohn. If you don't know him, you might want to search and learn about him. What I know, is that he's the influencer of personal development. He has a lot of lessons for us to learn and apply. In this episode I share 2-3 lessons that I learned from the quotes. First, to be in charge of your day, second, to plan ahead with anticipation. Lastly, when you do it, it will give you sense of achievement that will become your fuel for you to keep moving forward.
It's been 12 days passed since new year. There are a few rules that I break. In this episode I want to remind you and I again about minding your mindset. Don't treat failure as your definition. Remember, failure is just an event. I would like to remind about an activity that I've shared, which is about after action review. Let us review what happened and let us learn from the past, both positive and negative experience. By doing so, we will be able to avoid the wrong thing.
We have reach day five from this season. We have learn about believing the possibility, complete the past, design your future/set your goals, finding your why,and now lead to this. To make it happen. I share some notes that I learned and some reminder for you and me to make it happen. I said in this episode. I still need more time to redo some of the day activity to refine. But after certain time, I'll stop and move forward. Like some quote or saying that I heard, there's no such things as perfect timing. So it's time to just take the next step. Alright, hope it's been helpful for you too. If you have done yours, please continue and do the next step. It will be an amazing year ahead. Have a great day ahead.
We come to the next step, which is about finding your why. You might have heard this topic about why from Simon sinek at the topic of why (https://tinyurl.com/ssinekted). So for today topic, this going to be the source of power for you to reach the goal. There are 4 steps you need to do for today. First, you identify your key motivations (make it between 5-7 motivation for each of your goal). second, record your key motivation. Write it down. Third, is to prioritize the motivation. This will make sure that when things get tough, you can go back to the first reason why you want to reach this goal.. And lastly, connect with your motivation. When you connect your mind with your emotion, it will create a strong bond that will give you extra power to try to achieve the goal. That's the lesson that I learn from today's lesson. Let us do it to connect our heart with our mind, and let us make this year as a best year in our life. Have a great day ahead.
Let us jump to the next step. This step is about designing your future. If I may recap a bit, I mentioned previously that your future is like a blank canvas, you can draw anything to it. And what you draw in it is about this design or goal. So for today, the lesson learned is to make your goals SMARTER. There are a few abbreviation with this word, but for mlthe term talhat I learn, your goal should be Specific Measurable, Actionable, Risky, Time-Keyed, Exciting, Relevant. I shared what I understand or what I learned from the lesson. Hope it can help you. Leave me some question or comment if you have. Let us learn and support each other to reach our goals. Have a great days ahead.
Thank you for joining this again, this is the continuation of yesterday topic. After we learn about possibilities yesterday, the next thing we learn is about completing the past. Often times we forget about what has happened or we just don't want to remember what happened. But in order for us to be able to move forward, we need to complete the past. It's to give closure to our mind and to let us move to better state. I share some lesson that I learn from The course best year ever (bestyearever.me) this is not affiliate link. I just want to share the lesson that I learn several years ago while I'm going through the exercise again to see what's possible. Enjoy and have a great day ahead.
Still about new year resolution topic. In the past few years have been a crazy years and I have been neglecting most of the things that make me at lost. Since this is a new year, it remind me about the course that I took about new year resolution. It's a course by Michael Hyatt (www.michaelhyatt.com) called best year ever (best year ever.me). I don't mean to replace what he's teaching, but I want to share some take away that I learned to remind myself and to share it with you. If you have a chance, join his course. I believe It will transform your life as well. Here to great year ever
Happy new year. I wish you all the best in this new year. Let us change our mind a bit from what happened in the past. And let's move forward. When we talk about new year, most of the time it will continue to the topic of new year resolution. I have different perspective about resolution, but the idea is the same. For me, I like the idea of imagining what I want to be in one year, and see what step do I need to make today. I'm still guilty of it of not consistently pursuing the resolution. So this current year while I'm still looking for my resolution, I want to share a tool that I use. It's a planner that I bought from productive flourishing (https://www.productiveflourishing.com/) I don't have affiliate with the product. But is just something that I used recently and I like it. I forgot to mentioned in the episode, you can get the journal for free. You can subscribe and they will send you a free planner monthly. It won't be for the whole year, but it's good enough for you to start and try it. If it works for you, great. If you prefer to have the whole year content directly, then you can buy the digital copy of it to have the whole year planner. Alright, Thats all for now. Keep safe and I'll see you next time.
Thanks again for listening it in the last day of the year. For thisnepisode I'm sharing about the next step. Which is to review and refine. I took an analogy from programming called agile programming. The idea is to review what we have done, and what we plan for today. Afterwards at the end of the duration (let say after 2 weeks), we will review on what works and what doesn't work. Same with our lives. The action that we take might or might not work. Don't get discouraged, but learn from it. Don't beat yourself down if you not doing what you suppose to do. Make a peace with yourself. And don't keep doing the things that you not suppose to do. Let's remind ourselves to keep moving forward, remember what works in the past and do more of that. For a final quote, I share slighy different variation but it should goes by this "If you don't like how things are, change it! You're not a tree.'"- Jim Rohn. Alright here's to better future. Have a great day ahead
In this episode, I would like to elaborate on what to do next. We've learned on previous episode to change your mindset and find your goal. And then to find your why so that it can be the base or something that can energize you to move forward. And today episode is about the next step, which is about taking action. Your idea and your goal will be good if you take action. We will never know how the goal going to be, as in how beneficial it is for other people until we share and we take action for it. So, let us take action for the next step. What action can you take to move closer towards your dream? Ease feel free to share with me your action plan. Let us push together toward our goal.
In today's episode, I want to continue on the next step. Or rather the first step that we need to change our perspective. The lesson that I learn is about finding your why. Why is this important? It's because it will be your foundation of why you do things. You and I may be fail in keeping our positive perspective. When that happens knowing our why will help us to continue towards the goal. Having a why will be the anchor that helps you and I to keep moving forward. An example that I can share is about parenting. I don't have a good enough sample on how I should parent. But I love to see those friend of mind who have great relationship with their children. So, my why is that I don't want to just swim through the current and at the end regretting what I've done. I want to have a great relationship with my kids. I'm not sure what you want to do. But hope that after listening to this, it can inspire you and me to find the why on what we want to reach. Thanks again for listening in. Until next time
Hi. Thanks for joining with me again. In today's episode, I want to share what I learn about mind. The idea is that our mind is really smart. It can fill in the answer on what we want. The analogy that I heard is about wolves. Imagine in our mind there are 2 wolves. One good and one bad. The good wolves represent positivity in your life and the bad wolves represent the negativity in your life. So which one will win? Do you know the answer? The answer is the one you feed. So there are some facts in our life that will seems that it's valid reason to make us stuck in our current situation. But what if we change the story? Change the perspective? The facts will still be there. But it gives us reason on how to move forward. I know there will be times that we will feel not strong enough and we fail. It's OK. Don't treat it as a condition. But treat it as an event. We learn for it and move on. Alright, so hopefully this will help you and me to find better perspective and find better answer for your life. Until next time.
Thanks for listening to this early. I hope you had a great celebration. For this episode, I want to share a site that I used for fun especially in the season of giving. It's drawnames.com. To give a background story, I play the game to give gift to somebody, but I'm not allowed to let the person know. I was told about this site and we use it to randomize the recipient. It's fun times and I want to share with you. The good feature that I like from this site is that it combines everything, including gift search by setting a budget, send anonymous question to the recipient, and randomize the participant without any bias. Alright, I'll let you try yourself. Enjoy this holiday season and have a great day ahead
In this episode, I want to share the statement that I heard recently. There's truth in it, which is nobody cares about your problem. This statement is not about making you feel down, but I hope it can make us stop in current state and move forward. Everybody have a problem, but as you can see you always an find that example whereby people can excel in their life. Find those people for inspiration. Look for the successful people that has similar background and learn how they overcome the situation.
This year, 2020, can feel so short or so long. Depending on what you experience. But for sure it affect everybody. In this episode I would like thlo remind you and me that this is not the end. Don't let your mind fill it with negative thoughts that make your thinking spiraling down. On the other hand, this is not a positive thinking also. But remember this. There's still some time that we have to do somehting with that we have. Don't give up. I share also about a quotes from the movie sing that I hope I can encourage you. "do you know what's the best thing in being rock bottom? There's only one way to go and that's up". The end of the tunnel might still be long. Be patient. Equip yourself to be ready for the next phase of life. I hope you have a wonderful day ahead. See you later
I've mentioned on the other day about the rise of internet guru (https://open.spotify.com/episode/3YjnjuxZrUercDMmjaOPNZ?si=XxYsXyyIRwO17-kVA-qDXw) they can teach different thing. But the main thing is the same. It's about online course. In my opinion, the most profitable things to do is to do digital product such as online teaching. Hone in your skill and share it to the world. You'll be able to use this channel to earn something on the side.
Hi, this is just for fun. I'd like to shout out to the event known as 12.12. Or 12 December. The hype has been happening, especially in Asia, to be one of the sale day of the year. The event itself started not too long ago (at least in Singapore) but it is getting hyped year over year. What do i want to say about this? This is a cool number to be remembered, right? I want to remind you and me to make today as something spectacular. Especially for those close to you. This is a challenge for you and me. There are many things that you can do. What are you going to do to make 'today' a spectacular day? I out 'today' in quotes because today is the present. We might fail on certain day. But don't let it become your truth. Make it as an event (a short duration), learn from it and move on. Alright. Have a great day ahead. See you in the next episode.
In today episode, I want to share about the tools that I use to create this podcast. I use anchor (you can find out more in https://anchor.fm) it's really the easiest way to make a podcast. You can do most of the things from it. Do you notice the intro music? I add it from the tools. It's not the only music available. There are some more things that you can try. If you ever thinking to start one, definitely you should try this. Click the link to find out more. Otherwise you can listen to why I love this tools so much.
For this episode, I want to share my experience on what I encounter during watching video, especially on YouTube. There are rise of online marketing lesson from all these so called "guru". They claimed that they have the secret informations that can help you to earn money on the side that can replace your income. From what I can hear, you will need to listen with a pinch of (or a lot of) salt. Why do I say that? In summary, what I found out, they will share mostly about what they have been able to do with the knowledge and the testimonies of their students. And in a good case scenario, I only find about 10-15 minutes which are really about the tips/action that you can take. Other than that it's all just stories which might not relevant to why you joined to the free lesson or masterclass in the first place. Please listen in for more detail. And please let me know your experience. I would love to learn from you too about your experience.
This is a continuation of what mentioned in the previous episode. You will need to start with one of your idea. And now you will need to be patient. What do i meant by that? It takes time for you to get to know whether your idea is really good or not. Don't give up prematurely. Be patient in what you do
Still in the topic about starting and continuing,a question or statement that I've heard is that about what if I have too much ideas? Which one to pick? Well, listen to this episode to hear how to answer that. The simple idea is to start with one. Which one? The answer is it doesn't matter.
A question that pop up on mind is how to continue. Life will always be busy. It will make you stop continuing what you suppose to do. This is my scribble of the day to just continue to make the next episode. This is a rant of the day on how to continue. Hope it can be resonate with what you experience and it can help uou move forward.
Hi. Thank you for visiting this channel. Hope everything is well with you. In this first episode, I want to share the intention that I have for this podcast. I would like to share what I encounter along the way and share what I find useful and/or interesting to you. What I can think of right now will be about tools/software that I stumble and also interesting topic that comes along the way.
hope you enjoy it. have a great day ahead.
