We must come to the realization that any and everything contrary to God’s word. That pulls us away from him, causing us to walk in step with darkness and live in temptation. Will result in condemnation and will end in death. Which is why, in order for us to overcome evil and to be more than conquers in Christ Jesus, we must learn what, “It is written,” means and how to live by it.

The wilderness is a season every human being will face at some point within their lives. It can be uncomfortable, it can be frustrating, it can be tiring, yet if we just focus on the hardship within our season in the wilderness. We can miss the opportunity of maturing and growing closer to God, which allows us to learn from our sins, by repenting and living faithful and standing firm in the faith. However, if we don’t learn from the lessons the wilderness teaches us, we are only left to repeat the cycles of sin over and over again living in bondage. So in part one of the series entitled, “The Wilderness,” I’ll discuss complaining and how practicing those habits can develop patterns within us, that are ungodly. Which can cause us to lose sight of Gods faithfulness and promises he’s given us.

Living spiritually lukewarm, allows us to fool ourselves in to thinking we will inherit God’s Kingdom. Although, the bible depicts that living this way is very dangerous and ungodly, because God, cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows and those that live this way will not inherit his Kingdom. However, only those that repent and trust in the Lord will be known as citizens of Heaven. For 1 Corinthians 6:11 says, “And that is what some of you were. Temptation is something we’ve all experienced at some point within our lives. Oftentimes, we may want to blame others including God, just anyone except ourselves. However, James 1:13-15 is clear in saying, "When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death." So, how do we recognize the devil or satan’s schemes? Well, in the book of Genesis, we see how temptation came into the picture, deceiving mankind and causing us to live in a broken world we know see before us. Yet, we as believers in God, are able to overcome the temptation we face, with the help of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who always makes a way of escape.

Often times when we are wanting something in our lives so bad, we have a tendency to think yes and go for it. When instead God, is telling us no or not now, because he knows the complete outcome of the situation. It’s not that God, is being harsh to us by not letting us go after things he’s placed in our hearts. It’s just that God, knows our true motives and knows that we are needing to produce more fruit in him. Which means if God, was to give us what we desired in that moment, when we are fruitless in him. There will be moments when we experience pain from people throughout our lives. Yet as believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to imitate and respond like him and not the ways of the world. Meaning God, is able to use our painful moments and receive glory by using us as his humble servants; to draw people closer to him, while teaching us a lesson. However, when we are able to learn from our lesson. It is then we are able to count it all joy and respond the way our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, did throughout his life. By obeying the commands of his Heavenly Father, even when it was not always comfortable, but necessary.

How does God, know that we fear him or have a true reverence for him? Well the answer to that question is seen in our obedience to following his commands, because the scripture in John 14:15 says, “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.” So with that in mind we are able to take heed to 1 Samuel 15:22 it says, “Then Samuel said, “Is the Lord as delighted with burnt offerings and sacrifices as he would be with your obedience? To follow instructions is better than to sacrifice. To obey is better than sacrificing the fat of rams.”
Many resolutions will be made this New Year in 2021, and there's nothing wrong with that. However, my prayer is that we would all get a New Years Revelation; by seeking God first and being intentional in our relationship with him. For Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
One day we will all give an answer for what we have done while on this earth. With that in mind we should live pleasing and acceptable lives before our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While also, taking inventory with whom we associate with, because whom we associate with can either bring us closer to Christ or further away from him. 1 Corinthians 15:33-34 says, “Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character. Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.”
The wise men from the East, had traveled very far to locate the, “King of the Jews.” Upon locating him they were filled with joy and worshipped Jesus, because they witnessed what the prophet's had declared regarding the coming of the Messiah. Filled with joy and amazement the wise men, opened their treasure chests and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
As a believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There comes a time in life where we should see constant growth occurring within us; more often than we’ve seen in our past. It’s so easy for us to find excuses, as to why we are, where we are. However, whatever the excuses may be, no matter how persuading they may seem. When it comes to our spiritual walk with Jesus Christ, and there is no change for the better occurring within us; even in the midst of a good or difficult season.
We must ask ourselves, "Are we serving Jesus Christ, or are we serving something else that is captivating us and distracting us at the same time; while leading us into an end of destruction, if we aren’t careful." So as we grow in our relationship with Christ, 1 John 2:6 says, “Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.”
Too often in our lives if we aren’t careful, we can fill our hearts with complaining and not realize how much our Heavenly Father, has blessed us. Just think about it. If at the end of the day you meditate more on your complaints, then you do your blessings. You need to re-count your blessings, until you understand that the ultimate blessing is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Once we can grasp that, it is then you can acknowledge, that you are truly blessed beyond measure.
So where do you stand today in your spiritual walk, better yet who is your master, who do you glorify and serve giving your all to. For Matthew 6:21 & 24 says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
So although we live in the world, we are not of the world. We are given profound wisdom seen within 1 John 2:15-17 it says, “Don’t love the world and what it offers. Those who love the world don’t have the Father’s love in them. Not everything that the world offers—physical gratification, greed, and extravagant lifestyles—comes from the Father. It comes from the world, and the world and its evil desires are passing away. But the person who does what God wants lives forever.”
As we conclude the Heart Check series. Let us be reminded of James 1:25 it says, “However, the person who continues to study God’s perfect laws that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don’t merely listen and forget; they actually do what God’s laws say.”
If we say that we love our Heavenly Father, yet we disobey his commands, we are living in error and it’s time for a heart check. In this new series entitled, "Heart Check," my prayer is that God, would open our eyes where we have become blind; allowing darkness to reside where the Holy Spirit should be. So that when it's all said and done, we would have learned from our mistakes, counting it all joy. Knowing that God, truly cares for us and has changed our hearts and minds as we live obeying his commands.
It is so easy in times of uncertainty, to have doubts that anything good can occur to us. That's why it is so important that we always hold on to the promises that the Lord our God, has spoken and declared would come to pass.
If we remain faithful and obedient to our Heavenly Father's commandments, we will always be victorious in him. Even if the situation doesn’t seem to be in our favor, and chaos tries to surround us. Remember we serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and Matthew 19:26 says, “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
James 4:1 says, “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Aren’t they caused by the selfish desires that fight to control you?”
We often pass judgement on one another, for numerous of reasons not realizing and or understanding the dangers of doing so. Luke 6:40-42 gives us insight telling us, “A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher. “Why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye, but don’t notice the beam of wood in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the splinter that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam of wood in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter in your brother’s eye.” Tune in as I discuss how we are not to judge, because James 4:12 tells us that, “God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge.”
Philippians 2:3-4 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.”
Nike is known for several things including their footwear, apparel, etc. They had a quote a while back that said, “Yesterday you said tomorrow.” Well, in today's episode I’d like to focus our attention on the topic of being a hearer and a doer of God’s Holy Word by saying, “Just Do It.”
So you’ve done it again. Just when you thought everything was smooth sailing and life couldn’t get any better. You are now left feeling frustrated, disgusted, and hopeless, because you know that you’ve allowed your flesh to get the best of you. Well, God wants you to know, it doesn't matter what you’ve done, thought about doing, are may even be doing right now, you’re never too far gone. So turn to Christ, repent and allow his presence to change you from the inside out, as he leads and guides you throughout your life.
The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and the second is like it. Which is to love your neighbor as yourself. The greatest demonstration of love was displayed when Jesus Christ, laid down his life for us, while we were still sinners. So, will you allow love or hatred to rule within you, because Proverbs 4:23 is clear in saying, “Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it.”
Oftentimes, when storms come to us we tend to grow weary, and forget the promises that God has spoken over us. It’s in those times we must continually speak the word of God, to the storms we face and know that this too shall pass.
How do you know if you’re being told the truth or a lie? How do you know that you are loved or hated? How do you know what’s truly being said behind the words of an individual? Well, we are given some profound words within Luke 6:44 it tells us that, "Each tree is known by its fruit. You don’t pick figs from thorny plants or grapes from a thornbush."
The Creator of the Universe truly loves us and cares for us and doesn’t want us running on empty, but for us to be filled with his Holy Spirit so that we will never lack or become empty again. With that being said it’s time for us to get serious and re-evaluate what’s going on within us and around us, because we can allow ourselves to get distracted not realizing what is mentioned within Exodus 34:14 & 17 it says, “(Never worship any other god, because the Lord is a God who does not tolerate rivals. In fact, he is known for not tolerating rivals.) “Never make an idol.” So spend time with God, in his Holy Word every chance you get and watch your life turn around for the better.
We have a tendency to hold on to things that do us more harm than good. So could it be that maybe, we have become blind so to speak; to the things that are holding us back and we are not truly understanding what we're needing to do, in order to get free? Well, in this episode I will be discussing various scriptures that will give us the chance to carefully determine what pleases the Lord.

Deception will keep us blind and have us believing the lies from the enemy. So when life gets hard and we grow tired and are faced with trials and temptations. It’s important for us to ask the Lord for help, believing that he will come through. For James 1:21-25 says, “So get rid of all immoral behavior and all the wicked things you do. Humbly accept the word that God has placed in you. This word can save you. Do what God’s word says. Don’t merely listen to it, or you will fool yourselves. If someone listens to God’s word but doesn’t do what it says, he is like a person who looks at his face in a mirror, studies his features, goes away, and immediately forgets what he looks like. However, the person who continues to study God’s perfect laws that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don’t merely listen and forget; they actually do what God’s laws say.”
As the, "Destiny Series," comes to an end. We see how God’s, word will never return unto him void, because David, becomes the King Of Israel.
In our destiny we will face moments of testing and temptation. That’s why it’s important for us to be hearers and doers of God's Holy Word, because he leads and guides us. So when your time of testing and temptation is presented before you, as it was for David. What will be the outcome of your character? After all, Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
What do you do when you’ve been promised things like David, yet there is little to anything showing or coming to pass regarding your destiny. Well, we are to continuously trust in the Lord our God, knowing that his plans are for good and not for harm. Regardless, of the circumstances that are happening in us, around us, to us or that may come from us. We must transform our minds, believing that God is still in control of our Destiny.
The Lord was with David, making him successful in everything Saul, had commanded David to do. However, every time Saul was reminded of David's success he became jealous and very angry towards David, whom he had once loved.
We continue the series entitled, “Destiny,” and see how David, was able to respond to opposition while conquering his enemies. We find out that we can be minding our own business, but when destiny calls we must answer. Regardless of the opposition that is trying to detour us, from what God has called us to do. We must know that if God is for us, who can be against us.
We all go through twist and turns in our lives, some good and some bad. Even though it may be unfortunate in the way things occur, we can be for certain that all things work out for God’s chosen vessels. With that being said, today we start a new series entitled, “Destiny.” In this series I’ll be discussing how God led and kept David, throughout his journey from humble beginnings to becoming the King of Israel. My prayer for you is that throughout this entire series the Holy Spirit, will reveal to you key things regarding your destiny.
We will begin to grow wiser in understanding and be able to obtain knowledge. If we adhere to the words of wisdom within Proverbs 4:13 which says, “Cling to discipline. Do not relax your grip on it. Keep it because it is your life.”
In today's episode I focus on the scripture within 1 Thessalonians 4 on how, "God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives." So I know and I understand that sometimes it may seem overwhelming, and hard to live a pleasing life for God when we are faced with certain circumstances in life. However, in 1 Corinthians 10:13 it says, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
When reviewing the full armor of God, we learn about the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness given by the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. However, if you ever have a hard time memorizing the full armor of God just know this, “Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Christ.”
Are you prepared for when the evil day comes? Well, in today’s new series, “The Armor Of God Part 1.” I discuss the importance on how we as believers in Jesus Christ, are to prepare ourselves; by understanding how to put on the full armor of God.
Now that you’ve given you’re life to Jesus Christ and are made new in him. The old is gone and the new is here. So what does your future look like? How do you go about handling your day to day? Well Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” So tune in as I discuss the next steps that occur, after you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
A question may arise at some point in our lives. What will happen when this life I’m living and breathing in every day is no more. Well, many people will believe in numerous of things and will explain it to you in depth, but this is the difference with what others will say and I what will say including those in the body of Jesus Christ. The bible tells us in John 14:6-7 it says, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
So if you don’t know Jesus and would like to receive him as your personal Lord and Savior. Tune in to this episode and understand how you can receive the precious gift of Salvation in Jesus Christ.
You may be faced with hard decisions, various obstacles, unfairness and other trials and tribulations. However, in spite of what you’re going through, God has been there with you the entire time. For his word says, “That he will never leave you nor forsake you in (Deuteronomy 31:6).” So are you going to give up and give in to do things your way or do what others are wanting. Or will you continue to do the right thing by pleasing God and obeying his instructions even when it’s hard. The choice is your’s, so choose wisely because we reap what we sow.
Just when we thought we understood normal. We are now left having to redefine the meaning of what it is to be normal. With that in mind a question remains, “Are we going to go back to what was normal before the pandemic, once everything has calmed down?” Well physically, it may take a while for things to normalize and improve. However, spiritually we shouldn’t remain the same when we serve a great and mighty GOD that is willing and able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above more than we can ever ask, think or imagine. In 2 Peter 1:5 it says, “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;.” So what will you do with the effort that God has given you?
Whatever you're going through right now. It is important for you to understand that GOD, has already delivered you. It may not make since to you at this moment, but it is something you will understand soon. GOD's finished work at the cross allows us to be for certain that whatever we've faced in the past, facing presently or will face in the future. GOD has already gone before you and you've already been delivered. We must believe it and receive it knowing that GOD is faithful and will keep his word.
In order for us to get free from distractions. We must admit that we can't get free without the help of our heavenly father and we must believe that he will help us get free from distractions that are constantly taking away our attention from him. Psalm 107:28 says, “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.” So today, it’s time for us to get free and free indeed, just as Jesus Christ desires us to be.
Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day that the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.” So the next time you feel defeated, sad, overwhelmed and burden with circumstances that cause anxiety, worry and stress. Remember you have the victory in Christ Jesus. Psalm 68:19 says, “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” Be Blessed, Stay Blessed, Because You Are Blessed!!!
Luke 24:6-7 says, “He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” So whatever you are faced with today. Give it to Jesus and he will take care of you and even if something seems to be dead, he has the power to resurrect it.
Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” That same power that gives us overflow of HOPE comes from the HOLY SPIRIT; that raised Christ from the dead and who is now seated at the right hand of GOD. How do we access this hope? Well, I’m glad you asked. In today's message on hope I discuss how we can access this hope, how we can continue to hope and how we can spread hope to others.
The world may be facing a pandemic and fear seems to be creeping up in several places. However, there is still hope for us! Psalm 27:1,3 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” “Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.”
If you are in a situation that seems too big for you, it drives you crazy, leaves you disoriented, makes it hard for you to sleep, and makes you want to give up. Then this episode is for you. Psalms 34:19 says, “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.”
When we listen and fear the Lord. It is then we can become aware of our distractions and will be able to understand; how GOD wants us to handle them.
When we complain to God for things going on within our lives; yet we do not remind ourselves of God as David did within the book of Psalms. Then our complaining shows us, that we are lacking trust in GOD.
When the Lord instructs us to do something for him and we haven’t done it yet. We cannot expect our current situations to get better until we become obedient, by being hearers and doers of his holy word.
The Lord is our vindicator, deliverer, redeemer and will make a way where there seems to be no way.
1 John 4:19, sums it up by letting us know, "We love because he first loved us." Tune in as we hear scripture on how Jesus, really loves us.
When we can grasp that God, protects his children. We can grow in understanding; becoming wiser and knowledgeable in his holy word. We will then stop walking in fear and start walking in faith. We’ll stop having anxiety over things and start having peace.
Well, I don't know how long it will be before the Lord, answers your prayer request. However, we must continually ask, seek and knock. In today's message, I’m going to tell you how people within scripture were able to ask, seek and knock and receive their answers from the Lord.
Jesus came so that we may have life and life more abundantly. However, in order for us to live that way we must make room for Jesus Christ. If you’re having a hard time acknowledging your wrongs or seeing things within your life that needs to be changed. Just simply ask Jesus, because he will make it known to you. If you are sincere and humble with your request to Jesus Christ, he will not only hear your request, he will do what 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. So, will you make room for Jesus Christ?
Throughout the scripture within Genesis chapters 6-9, in regards to Noah. I didn’t see any written words in which Noah, had complained to God whenever God had given Noah a command. No wonder Noah didn't complain, because when he made room for God by walking in faith, God made room for him. God will even do the same for us by leading and guiding us. The question is will you Make Room for God?
It seems that we make room for what we need and want to; whether that be with people or things. We make room in our schedules for us to go to work, on vacations, spending time with family and friends. We even make room in our closets for putting up new clothes and shoes. We make room for any and everything; but do you make room for Christ? How does your relationship status with Jesus look like? Tune in to our Part 1 series of Make Room.
In today’s podcast I have a declaration that I want everyone listening; to speak over themselves and others as often as possible. The bible tells us in Proverbs 29:18, “Without revelation people run wild, but one who follows divine instruction will be happy.” We also understand that we as believers in Jesus Christ are to walk by faith and not by sight. That we speak things that aren’t as if they are, because we know that life and death are in the power of the tongue.
The greatest gift that anyone can and will ever receive is Jesus Christ. The amazing part about this gift is that you can have it anytime of the day, week, month, year or decade. You can accept Jesus, right now into your life. The gift of Jesus Christ, makes us a new creation in him instantly. Regardless of what we may be going through, when we accept Jesus, we will become his children and will one day meet him face to face in our eternal home in heaven. The only question is will you accept the gift?
Unforgiveness is home to anger and resentment. A place for bitterness, hatred, jealousy and everything ungodly to manifest; within our hearts, minds, bodies and souls. On the other hand forgiveness is a gift from God. In today's episode be encouraged and understand the importance of forgiveness.
I believe that those listening to this episode, will get free from things that are not of God. You see if anything in your life is not of God, it is not good for you. That means some of ya’ll are going to get free from certain relationships, old patterns, habits, cycles, addictions, free from complaining, gossiping, hatred, jealousy, etc. So start declaring who you are, and always be reminded of whose you are.
In order to be alert and of sober mind, we have to be transformed by the renewing of our mind in Jesus Christ. It’s in that moment we are able to dismantle the doubts in our lives and realize that because we believe in Jesus we walk by faith and not by sight. That we can speak things that aren’t as if they are.
God still has some miracles to perform in your life, before the end of this year in 2019. God has some door’s (and yes that is plural meaning more than one door) that he is going to open for you; and you’ll be so happy that those other doors were closed. God is not done with you, it doesn’t matter what the situation may be or even if you are experiencing the effects of the decisions you've made. It’s not over until God says it’s over.
It’s almost that time of year again, where family and friends gather to celebrate Thanksgiving. They enjoy each other’s company, the food is fantastic, the time spent with one another was amazing. However, Thanksgiving isn’t just a holiday on the calendar that comes around once a year. Thanksgiving is something we should always have within our hearts.
In life we will have accomplishments that we’re excited about and we'll have moments where we are disappointed. So what do we do when we are faced with the ups and downs in life and how does God help us on our life’s journey?
Every human being has been given a certain amount of time to live on earth. The sooner we realize that ONLY what we do for CHRIST will last. That is when the seed of wisdom, understanding and discernment start's to awaken within us.
In order for God to bring us to a place where he has promised us better as believers in Christ. We must lay aside every weight, and the sin that so easily ensnares us. In other words DROP IT.
Let us learn from the example depicted within Mark 9 and understand that even if we find it hard to believe in God; we will respond in faith as the sons father did within the passage, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”
