OK - So I screwed up and threw two sides of a layered field and anchored it to a portal with seven outgoing links.  Lets learn from my mistake.  Closing the last side of two sides with two links each does not get you a two layer field; it gets you two fields that don't layer.  Confused?  Watch the video and see what I mean.
