Here is a great way to avoid the clutter of the Youtube interface. Subscribe to your favorites tags with the Safari 3 browser (Mac - Win). Use the following examples in the address line.

To subscribe to Videos with the tag "car" enter: feed://www.youtube.com/rss/tag/car.rss To subscribe to Videos with the tag car and truck enter: feed://www.youtube.com/rss/tag/car+truck.rss

To subscribe to Videos from an individual user enter: feed://www.youtube.com/rss/user/-the_users_name-/videos.rss

And since these feeds are subscriptions they will update as more content in added.
