There are only two weeks left in the Australian financial year, so that means it’s a great time to use up any remaining budget* you have for charitable donations. If you need some ideas, here are the Aussie institutions we’ve supported in various ways over the last year:
And of course, the State Library of NSW. In the past few months I’ve had the opportunity to see up close how the library supports our communities across the state. One program I only learned about recently is multicultural book loans. This means that if you live in rural NSW and you need books in a language other than English, the State Library can send them to your local library. Last year, this program loaned out more than 82,000 items. With more than 29% of the NSW population born overseas and over 280 languages are spoken at home, this service is pretty crucial!
* I know, I know. Cozzie livs. I get it. If you don’t have spare cash, there are other ways to make your community a better place.
