Iowa State earned its third commitment of the 2027 class in 4-star small forward Jack Kohnen (first reported by Joe Tipton of On3).
He picked the Cyclones after also considering Nebraska and Iowa.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Slinger, Wisconsin native, is the No. 81 overall recruit in the 2027 class and joins 4-star forward Donovan Davis, another committed Cyclone out of the state of Wisconsin, and in-state 4-star guard Josiah Harrington in T.J. Otzelberger’s 2027 recruiting class, which ranks No. 1 in the country for 2027.
Kohnen becomes Iowa State’s third top-100 commitment in the class, according to 247Sports.
With Kohnen’s commitment, 6 of the top 15 players in the state of Wisconsin have committed to T.J. Otzelberger since he took over at Iowa State in 2021.
