Jimmy Rogers is getting reinforcements on the offensive side of the ball with the the commitment of Tulane transfer running back Arnold Barnes III, per Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
In three seasons at Tulane, The 5-foot-10, 216 pound back ran for 757 yards and scored seven touchdowns. As a junior in 2025, Barnes ran for 217 yards as a primarily a short-yardage back.
With the season-ending injury to Oregon State transfer *Salahadin Allah and the recent departure of depth piece Jayden Jackson, Barnes becomes the eighth available running back available for the 2026 season. Here’s a list of the available backs in John Johnson’s* room:
Barnes is the second Tulane transfer to join Iowa State, along with wide receiver Omari Hayes.
