Obstinate characters, poor motivation, and plot setup . . .

In this duo episode, we're talking about characters. In particular, how do we handle unruly, obstinate, problematic characters who don't follow your author rules!

Sometimes it all comes down to understanding their motivations and personality. Other times, it's all about staying flexible in the moment and being a good character parent: not too strict, not too lenient.

Our favorite tool we use to help create our characters is the Enneagram Personality type. Check it out at EnneagramInstitute.com.

Question of the week: What's your favorite method for developing three-dimensional characters? Let's chat on the Facebook page @AuthorWheel.
