College sophomore and student athlete, McKenna Haz created a line of athletic wear made from recycled plastic bottles. She started the company, Seaav, only a year ago and it's taken off since she won a local CT business pitch competition. She is passionate about sports and protecting the ocean and it only made sense to create a product that beautifully intertwined her interests. Each purchase contributes to ocean clean-up efforts equivalent to one pound of plastic. Eventually, she hopes to use the plastic found in the clean-up efforts to make the leggings.
