A black flag protest has been held demanding an independent inquiry into the Easter attack and justice for the victims. In that regard, people have staged a black flag protest in front of the Kattuvapitiya temple in Negombo, one of the churches that came under Easter attack.
Also as a message Jaffna District Government Agent K.Makesan stated that a financial allocation of Rs. 2,000 has been received to be provided by the government.
He said the funds were earmarked for families affected by the non-receipt of any government assistance announced by the government during the current island-wide general freeze.
The Government Agent further stated that instructions have been given to the Divisional Secretaries in this regard and steps are being taken to provide relief assistance of Rs. 2000 as soon as possible.
