A pregnant woman who tried to commit suicide by jumping into a well in Vavuniya has died and tests have confirmed the covit infection.

A 28-year-old pregnant woman from the Maharambaikulam area in Vavuniya has attempted suicide by jumping into a well.

Following this, the villagers and relatives rescued the woman from the well and admitted her to the Vavuniya hospital. However, the pregnant woman died without treatment.
