The court heard that the young woman, who was allegedly abused by the brother-in-law of former minister Rishad Bathiudeen, had been confirmed in local medical examinations as a virgin.

Police told the court that a young woman who worked as a maid at Rishad Bediuzzaman's house had been abused in 2016 by Mohamed Shiabdeen Ishmat.

Following this, medical examinations were conducted on the girl and its report was submitted to the court on the 16th.

According to the medical report, it has been confirmed that the girl has no signs of virginity.

Following this, the court granted the suspect bail of Rs. 5 lakhs, but the court barred the suspect from traveling abroad and ordered the court to hand over the suspect's passport.
