According to a Sinhala media report, two persons who were standing in line at the outpatient department of the Colombo ITH Hospital have died suddenly.

Both have been reported to have died of low oxygen levels.

The number of patients receiving oxygen-assisted treatment in Sri Lanka has risen to 614 as of last Monday.

It has been suggested that the number of patients receiving oxygen-assisted treatment may increase to 1,000 in the coming days.

As a result, doctors say, the demand for oxygen may increase dramatically in the future
