The suspect arrested in connection with the uploading of child pornography on the internet has been remanded till the 20th of this month. The order was issued when it was produced before the Colombo Chief Justice. The 25-year-old suspect was arrested last night (06) by the Children and Women's Bureau. The suspect allegedly uploaded about 500 videos and photos of child pornography on the website.It has been revealed from the investigations. A special section has been set up at the Children and Women's Bureau to detect persons uploading child pornography on the Internet. The unit has been collecting information on those who have been uploading pornographic images on the internet since June 17, and the first suspect has been arrested and produced in court. The other suspects will be arrested in the near futureThe Children and Women's Bureau of the Police also said.
