_Jaffna. A test conducted on devotees attending a festival at a Murugan temple south of Karavetty has confirmed 49 people with corona infection. Based on the samples obtained from 179 people, the PCR test revealed that 49 people were infected. Infections have been identified in the course of action taken by the Public Health Inspector on the instructions of the Karavetty Health Medical Officer, as it is known that health practices were not followed at the temple festival. The health department said that steps have been taken to isolate the southern village of Karavetty as the number of infected people has been identified.
