It has been reported that the concerned minister has the power to postpone the local government elections for a period of one year. Accordingly, it is reported that the election will not be held on February 10 next year and it is likely to be postponed till February 10, 2023. With the provincial council elections in the country being postponed for years, there is now a problem in running the local government elections.
