_Millions worth of nets of fisher man stranded at Jaffna-Vadamarachchi Point Pedro have been destroyed by Indian fishermen across the border.

The heels went to sea yesterday and the nets were left at sea. Many fishermen are saddened to find their nets cut and torn as they search for boats to catch fish in their nets today. The fishermen say that nets worth Rs 3.5 lakh each have been destroyed and such incidents have taken place many times. The fishermen have lodged several complaints with the Fisheries Minister and no action has been taken so far, he said.
