The teacher conducted an experiment in her first grade class without the children knowing. Two by two, she took her students into the cafeteria and sat them next to each other. In each of their hands she placed a closed Styrofoam box containing a snack. The first child opened his box to find several pieces of fruit. The other child did the same but found the container empty.
