When I married my husband I decided that the most important thing I could do for him was to create a safe haven for him: a place where he never had to worry about being criticized or condemned but rather understood and free to be himself; a place where there was no judgment but rather acceptance and appreciation for the beautiful man he is. Regardless of who is in my presence, it is imperative that they feel safe and at ease with me.
