Children continually seek to please their parents. They want nothing more than to gain their parent's approval or to make mom or dad proud. A child who falls short of pleasing a parent feels humiliated and unworthy. In Matthew 18:3, Jesus said, "Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Could this be in part what Jesus is referring to: that before we can enter into eternity with our Father, we must be as a child concerned first...
