I had always been taught to be polite to others, to be kind and considerate and I would like to believe that for the better part of my life I have been. But at this precise instant, I realize how I treat others is in no way dependant on how they are treating me nor how they feel about me or I about them. I am to extend the same courtesies to those who despise me as I do to those who revere me.
