Maria was a very successful businesswoman, earning lots of money and living in her beautiful East Coast home. And then she met Dan through an Internet dating service. Things were going well with the relationship when Dan received a big promotion in Chicago. He asked Maria to sell her home, resign from her position, and move to the Midwest. She did.

Fast forward and Dan becomes happy and successful in Chicago. Maria, on the other hand, becomes miserable. Problems arise in their relationship and Maria finds herself in a very negative mental state. She becomes angry, bitter, and lonely.
