For most of us Christmas has become predictable. We eat the same foods. We go to the same parties. We watch the same movies. We think we know exactly what is coming. The same was true for the people who experienced the first Christmas, until god did something unexpected in every way. This Advent we will look to Christmas to help us discover the wonder of Jesus’ birth, and begin to prepare for God to do the unexpected in our lives.
