For hundred of years ballet has always maintained strict gender roles, down to the very shoes the ballerinas wear. Now, this generation of dancers influenced by social movements have begun to challenge those assumptions. The struggle between traditionalism versus innovation, and the idea of creating new spaces in the ballet world is the point of tension investigated in this short radio documentary.
