I enjoy playing w/ virtual synths and long walks on the beach.

It's an old one I dug up that I never liked. But grew on me over time so I'm putting it back out there to see if anyone can stand it.

Happy Birthday Are You Now¿ by Myles

Recorded in my parent's basement ~early 90s. My dad (40s at the time) is on drums, and my brother (15-17 at the time) is playing guitar. I recently found this cassette tape. This was the only real track on the tape. I cleaned it up, and remastered for a stereo sound that feels like the room it was recorded. Since this was an opportunity to Jam with my older brother and dad, I also added my own -minimal- bassline.

This was the second track I made with Reason when I was first learning to use it. Maybe 2018ish? I was trying to make certain sounds with synthesizers; a motorcycle, cityscape, or in this one... the inside of an airplane. It became this other weird thing. I upload at the time, but removed it in shame of its amateur-ness. Now I kinda like it's amateur-ness.

I dunno. It felt important at the time.

The voice of the previous authoritarian? From the deep dank bin of a pre-covid export folder.

My brother Ryan did the beats on this track. This is an alternate version to the one that ended up on "Walking Meditations."

I made (and titled) this track in 2019, a few years before the movie with a similar name existed.

Another weird one from the garbage bin of second opinions.

This version lacks the ambiance of the weather and traffic and is mixed quite differently. It was my first exported take of this track.

In this episode, I catch up with a friend I met in Tallahassee, FL, Michael Karr, who has since moved to LA and is now a budding screenwriter. We talk about his amazing superhero short The Bee (https://vimeo.com/333845908), and horror short "Mr. This for That."

Stick around for a new segment, Sunday Morning Movies. This week, Bonnie and I watched Forrest Gump. We evaluate the movie after 30 years and talk about our memories from its release in the mid-90s.

I wrote/recorded this 20 years ago. Recovered from an old hard drive, the vocals and guitar are from the original recording from 1999/2000. In my 20s I wrote/recorded a bunch of acoustic songs, but lost most of them to time. I was maybe too critical of myself back then. But this has grown on me. I've only found a couple of these recordings recently (not that I've been looking too hard), but I hope to find some others.

Myles gets in the zone with Los Angeles' premier Free-Space Music performers Hamscholar. We discuss the band's origins, meeting on the set of unreleased slasher-film, "Clown Motel Massacre," to playing after-hours behind a used bookstore in Los Angeles. Also, ASMR therapist, Moist Myles, gives us a free session of his scientifically questionable Audiophobe Conversion Therapy. And lastly, Bonnie Wright reviews the film "Midsommar," on request of our friend Aaron B. (insta: dojoglass), a Glass Artist from Corning, NY. Links and videos for this episode: bit.ly/hamscholar

Songs inspired by various emotional states over the past couple of years. I walk a lot for my job and I use these tracks for walking meditation while I am working. Each track was inspired by a vibe or emotion I was feeling at the time it was written. Beats for "October" and "Sunset on the Bike Path" are by my brother Ryan.

I was 8 years old in 1988, recording a radio show to a cassette player in my bedroom with my dad's keyboard. I told stories and played music (I was taking piano lessons at the time). I found the tape recently and decided to have some fun with it.
