Steve Hackett is known best for his time in the band Genesis alongside Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks, the original, 1970's Genesis known for their prog rock experiments. Now, Steve Hackett is still flying the Genesis and prog rock banner high with a brand new release of live material dedicated to his favorite Genesis record, Selling England by the Pound and his own original compositions. The result is the collection “Selling England By The Pound & Spectral Mornings: Live at Hammersmith” a CD, DVD and Blu Ray release that hit the market on September 25th. It's a remarkable collection and we talked with Steve Hackett about how it came together, his memories of Genesis and Peter Gabriel and classical music influences in prog rock.
