Hello, friends!
I wanted to let you know that over the last several months, I have converted the Nova Scotia Kitchens podcast episodes into YouTube videos! It’s a way to give the content a home, in a place that’s easily accessed. It gives a space to share the pictures from my visits along with the audio, and it was really fun to put them together.
Thank you so much to all of the people who were so kind to share their time and recipes with me - listening to the episodes again took me right back to the kitchens of some very lovely people, and I am so thankful for their generosity.
Unfortunately, I did lose three episode files over the years - Lindsay Cameron Wilson’s Miso Soup, Austen’s Rolled Biscuits, and my go-to Frittata. The posts are still available with the recipes and photos, but those episodes won’t be on YouTube.
Throughout 2021 I wrote a monthly post over at Wellington Farm with ideas for things to notice, make, and do each month - since they’re monthly, you can check those out this year, too, if you’re interested. It turns out that my timing for wrapping up the podcast was perfect; just before the pandemic started. I hope that it won’t be too much longer before we can freely and comfortably visit all of the Nova Scotia Kitchens we want to.
The YouTube channel page is here: most episodes have been posted, and the rest will be added one at a time, every Friday for the next couple of months. I hope you enjoy having the episodes available in this new format - I like to have that sort of video playing in the background while puttering or cooking. Enjoy, and take care!
