So recently another good friend of mine confided in me that she, on numerous occasions over a short period of time, came extremely close to make genuine attempts at her life.

I feel extremely bad for her. She has certainly been dealt some difficult cards in life; her mother is verbally abusive and neither of her parents were supportive growing up.
