One thing I started doing within a couple months of Joe's death was to read about other people's tragedies. It helped me to try to understand how people who found themselves in similar places survived and found meaning in life again. I read several memoirs by people who had survived far worse than me, like Sue Klebold's book, "A Mother's Reckoning," (talk about horror of horrors), Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning," "Night" by Elie Weisel.
