Nike is a global powerhouse in sports apparel, footwear, and marketing. Their iconic slogan, “Just do it,” is recognized worldwide, symbolizing the drive to excel in sports. It inspires athletes to push their limits and see what they can achieve.

But “Just do it” isn’t just for athletes—it can also resonate with Christians. As we follow Jesus’ teachings, we too are called to take action and see what we can achieve through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave us a commission. In essence, He was telling us, “Just do it!”

Matthew 28:18-19 (NLT):
18. Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

Jesus’ command is clear: Go!

• Go make disciples.
• Go be the light.
• Go love others.
• Go do good.
• Go be the church.
• Go be a Christian.
• Go worship.
• Go pray.
• Go give.
• Go forgive.
• Go serve.

Just go—just do it!

There is power when we GO.

Think about how significant moments in life happen when we take that first step:

• Go to school.
• Go to work.
• Go get married.
• Go have a child.
• Go try something new.
• Go start a business.
• Go make friends.
• Go on that trip.

Our lives are marked by milestones achieved when we decide to go and do something. It’s through action that we grow and discover something new.

The same is true in our walk with Jesus.

When we GO and just do it, something happens!

This is important because too often, we can be paralyzed by overthinking or getting lost in the details. When we fail to act, nothing happens.

Jesus worked through His disciples as they went. The Spirit of the Lord works with us as we take action. There’s power when we Go and just do it.

You might ask, “Just do what?”

• Reach people.
• Love people.
• Serve people.
• Invite people.
• Be a witness to people.

I believe the Holy Spirit empowers us when we go and just do it. The simplicity of living out the gospel is both profound and challenging. But when we do it, God moves.

My encouragement to you is this: Go and just do it. Start today and give God something to work with. Give Him a chance to use you.

God is ready and willing to use us in our everyday lives. Think about the people God has placed around you—your family, your work, your children’s schools, your community. We are surrounded by people for a reason: to show them who Jesus is!

Just do it in your everyday life. Just do it with the people in your life.

God is ready. God is willing. God is able.

Our part is to Go and just do it.

So today, I encourage you: Just do it. Be a doer of the Word of God. Be someone who gives God a chance to work through your actions.

Who can you invite and bring to church? Who can you love? Who can you serve? Who can you pray for?

Now is the time to just do it!

May Jesus use you and reach others through your efforts!
