God will fulfill His Word-there’s no doubt about that. But here’s what’s even more incredible: He chooses to use us to do it.
That truth alone should stop us in our tracks. The Creator of the universe invites us into His story. He doesn’t require perfection, performance, or status—just our yes.
And in the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, we see how God uses the simple, the humble, and the available to accomplish something divine.
“As Jesus and the disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the town of Bethphage on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. ‘Go into the village over there,’ he said. ‘As soon as you enter it, you will see a donkey tied there, with its colt beside it. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will immediately let you take them.’”

Let’s unpack this moment together.
The Donkey (Matthew 21:7)
“They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on.”
At first glance, it’s just transportation—Jesus needs a ride. But this donkey is loaded with meaning.
In that culture, a donkey symbolized humility and peace—not power. It wasn’t majestic like a warhorse. It was common. Overlooked. Lowly.
And yet—it’s exactly what Jesus chose.
Here’s the key:
Jesus doesn’t need something great to do something great.
He delights in using the ordinary to reveal the extraordinary.
The donkey became a stage—a platform where Jesus could be seen. And when we offer our lives to Him, we become platforms for His glory too. Not because we’re flashy or perfect, but because we’re available.
Can God Sit on Your Life?Ask yourself:
To be usable, we must be adjustable.
That means:
What’s your “donkey”?
Your marriage? Pain? Past? Dreams? Gifts?
When we surrender these everyday areas, God does the miraculous. One man’s yes made his donkey available—and prophecy was fulfilled. Generations were impacted.
Two Things Happened When Jesus Rode In1. The People Declared Him King
“A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.” —Matthew 21:8
They gave Jesus a royal welcome, waving palm branches—symbols of peace and victory—and publicly declaring: Jesus is King.
And for us?
Is Jesus King every day?
Not just on Sundays. Not just in crisis.
Every. Single. Day.
“The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’” —Matthew 21:9
The city erupted in praise. It wasn’t reserved—it was real. They called Him “Son of David,” a declaration of belief: You are the Christ.
This is worship:
Worship is a lifestyle. It’s our whole life responding to who Jesus is.
The Power of One YesThere’s someone easy to miss in this story: the person who owned the donkey.
We don’t know their name or title. All we know is—they said yes.
And that yes changed everything.
Your yes matters.
Even when it feels small or unseen.
When surrendered to God, your yes ripples far beyond what you can imagine.
Final Thought:When we say yes, we step into something bigger.
When we give what’s in our hands, God uses it to shake cities.
When we humble ourselves, He raises us to be stages for His glory.
So today—don’t underestimate your donkey.
Don’t doubt your yes.
God’s not looking for fancy. He’s looking for faithful.
Let’s be the kind of people who say:
“Lord, sit on my life. Be seen. Be known. Be worshiped.”
Because when He rides in, everything changes.
