Housing is more than a roof overhead. It’s the foundation for health, safety, opportunity and belonging.
In our conversation with Mandy New, a Heading Home street outreach case manager, we explore what it’s like to experience homelessness, what might lead to a housing crisis, and what it takes to turn your life around. Mandy works for Heading Home in partnership with HealthNet’s Homeless Initiative Program (HIP) in Bloomington, and is making a difference in people’s lives every day.
We also celebrate that in the first six months of 2026, Heading Home and our regional partners helped 115 households find a place to call home. That number represents people working together for a shared purpose: To help individuals and families find a safe, stable place to live.
