Featured Segments:
As summer kicks off, tonight we are revisiting a clip from the 2023 Youth Radio summer camp. For the podcasting week campers chose to talk about food and tonight you’ll hear them rate their school lunches.
“Townie summer” is officially upon us. As many of the students at Indiana University have left for the summer, the city settles into a different rhythm. In today’s episode of Rewind, WFHB News Correspondents Jorge Casillas and Aidan Verde took to the streets of Bloomington to ask residents and students about summer in the city.
This week’s archive segment comes from a March 24, 2017 episode of Kite Line titled “Cyclical Confinement: Homelessness and Incarceration.” Kite Line is a radio program devoted to prison issues around the Midwest and beyond. In this episode, hosts Emma Johnson and Mia Beach speak with guests Reverend Forest Gilmore and Mike Feltner about their experiences with the relationship between homelessness and incarceration.
Now, from the music department, local band Early Grey joined us in the Local Live Lounge on March 9. After multiple weather-related reschedules, we were especially glad to finally have them in the studio. They brought a set of original songs, along with plenty of talent and good vibes — well worth the wait! Give the session a listen and catch what they brought to our new room.
