Featured Segments:
From WFHB’s Youth Radio – in a new episode of Grow with Glo, host Gloria Chi speaks to Alex Kornelsen, the CEO and co-founder of Mission to Marsh, an environmental project dedicated to restoring and protecting wetlands.
WFHB’s Youth Radio attended the Lotus Blossoms World Bazaar on April 4th to record stories with 4th graders from across the MCCSC school district. Now you’ll hear them reading “B is for Bloomington.”
Bloomington consistently ranks as one of the most expensive cities to live in Indiana. From the news department, WFHB Correspondents Kam Shaw and Elyse Perry took to the streets of Bloomington to ask residents about affordability. Residents say they find living costs unaffordable, particularly for groceries and housing.
This week, our archive segment commemorates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Mother’s Day with excerpts from a 2018 episode of Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio, a co-production of WFHB and Indiana University’s Asian Culture Center. In this excerpt, Keiko McCullough and Shay Upadhyay interview their mothers. We also hear the piece “Blowtorch,” composed by Miki Saito and performed by Lindsay Cheng, Crystal Kim, and Kara Cheng.
Our Firehouse Session with Wendy Eisenberg is up now! They joined us on 4/2/26 ahead of their show at The Blockhouse with Branches and Busman’s Holiday — and just a day before their self-titled album “Wendy Eisenberg” dropped via Indianapolis based label, Joyful Noise. It was a beautiful session and such a great conversation!
