It's hard to find enough words to describe the life of George Gittoes. He is an artist, an author, a filmmaker, an activist, a wanderer, a free spirit who has travelled to extraordinary places and met extraordinary people. He is inspired by the belief that creativity can overcome violence, so it's fitting he won the Sydney Peace Prize in 2015. He has just released a memoir, called Blood Mystic.
