Mark Gallagher has been a Lecturer and Associate Professor at The University of Nottingham. He has published extensive literature on Masculinity, Gender and Sexuality in Films in both Eastern and Western Cinema.

I came across some of Mark's work online and I was extremely honoured when he agreed to come onto the podcast for a chat. We cover gender in movies, the changing role of the hero in today's cinema, how masculine values have changed and how this has been covered in films and the role of the comic book hero of current cinema.
