Naarm–based band Lunar Lagoon’s self-titled release is a mixture of indie-electronica, dream-pop, post-punk & new wave sounds.
Across the release, hazy sounds can be heard layered over post-punk textures (‘KTF‘), whilst also incorporating dream-pop elements with killer synth samples sprinkled over.
Beginning as a solo project and now becoming fully realised as an expanded collaborative band, the Melbourne group’s sound is ever-evolving, utilising Lunar Lagoon’s frontman Joe Nurrish‘ deep-baritone vocal delivery.
Lunar Lagoon’s Joe caught up with Thursday* Out To Lunch’s *Conor & Lachy to chat about the release, inspirations, and future plans.
