The project comprises the development of a tram-train system in the Greater Metropolitan Area of Costa Rica with frequencies of 10 minutes at peak times. The project includes three main components: (i) Rehabilitation, track duplication, electrification, and upgrade of two existing rail lines: Line 1 (San Jose-Cartago-Paraiso, 27km) and Line 2 (San Jose-Heredia-Alajuela, 22km), as well as a short 2 km urban rail section that will connect the stations of Atlántico and Pacifico in San Jose (thus co
