In this third message from the ROOTED series, we continue our journey by asking: How do our roots grow deeper?
This week we turn to prayer — not as a performance, a religious duty or something we only do when life goes wrong, but as an invitation to come close to God.
Prayer doesn’t just change our circumstances — it changes us. As we pray, we learn to hold our own plans more lightly, become more dependent on God, and allow Him to shape our desires, priorities and lives.
Being rooted in prayer means making space for God in the ordinary rhythms of everyday life. It doesn’t have to be complicated or impressive. Sometimes it might simply mean five quiet minutes to pause, speak honestly with God, listen, and remember that we are not carrying life on our own.
Because the goal isn't to become impressive at prayer. The goal is to become closer to Jesus. And as we keep turning towards Him, even in small and ordinary ways, our roots grow deeper.
📖 Key Texts: Matthew 6:5–15; The Lord’s Prayer
🌱 Theme: Growing deeper in Christ through a life of prayer
🎧 Takeaway: Prayer isn't about finding perfect words or proving how spiritual we are. It is about coming to God, learning to depend on Him, and growing closer to Jesus.
