Every year the Associated Press votes to decide which players make the All-Pro teams. Now as we head into the Wild Card weekend, the AP has released the First and Second Team All-Pro teams. And there are several Eagles across both teams. Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson both made the First-team. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, Haason Reddick, and James Bradberry all made the second team

It is Jason Kelce’s 5th time as the First Team All-Pro Center. Only 7 other Centers have been the first team All-Pro in at least 5 seasons, and they are all in the Hall of Fame so far. He has allowed just one sack in the last two seasons and hasn’t allowed a single one this season. This is Lane Johnson’s first time on the 1st team. It is his second time being named an All-Pro. Last year he made the second team. Like Kelce, he has yet to allow a single sack this season. He made the first team despite missing the last two games, which tells you just how good he was in the other 15 games. This is the first time either Hurts, Brown, Bradberry, or Reddick have made an All-Pro Team.

Reddick’s 16 sacks put him in a tie for 2nd for the league lead. Bradberry is 2nd in the NFL with a QB Rating against of 51.6. Brown broke the Eagles record for receiving yards and is the first Eagles WR to receive All-Pro honors since Terrell Owens. And Hurts was near the top of the league with 35 total TDs before getting hurt, and his 14 wins make him the 2nd youngest Qb to ever win 14 games.

Missing from the list, are Eagles CB Darius Slay, and DT Javon Hargrave. Slay started out the season exceptionally strong, but some inconsistent play down the stretch probably killed his hopes to make the team. Hargrave meanwhile is a victim of a very deep position. But he was 3rd among DTs with 11 sacks. You could easily make the argument he deserved a spot on the second or even the first team.

Obviously, the only thing that really matters is a Super Bowl. It is still nice to see the Eagles players honored though.
