Greenpeace activists protested outside Shell's headquarters, demandingthat the company take responsibility for the damage that fossil-fueledglobal heating is causing.Shell's profits last year were twice the estimated cost to repairthe damage caused by the enormous flood in Pakistan, which was caused by global heating. The fashion of focusing on which people are suffering how much _justnow_ from global heating is a distraction. Every region is likely toface enormous suffering within a few decades. We need unite to putan end to global heating. Then, when things are stable and emissionsare much reduced, we can worry about ending poverty world-wide.
