Thugs in Saskatoon made a practice of arresting indigenous people andleaving them at isolated places, on freezing cold nights, when theirclothing was not adequate to survive. They were likely to die as aresult. One victim knew a place where he could find shelter, andsurvived to testify.

Two thugs who were known to have killed indigenous people in this waywere later convicted of a crime for that, and sentenced to prison.That's better than what usually happens to killer thugs, which is thatthey are never prosecuted at all; but the crime they were convicted ofwas an understatement.

They should have been charged with murder. They must have expectedthat the men they dumped in the cold were likely to die as a result,and intended that result.

It seems that the attempt to kill Darrell Night was motivated onlyby his being merely a nuisance.
