I've posted over the years about the need to stop farmers from givingantibiotics to entire herds in bulk. We must restrictthem to giving antibiotics specifically to animals that are sick.

As for the lack of new antibiotics, we should take this entirely out of the hands ofdrug companies and create an international organization for the job. We should giveit funds to develop last-ditch antibiotics, and to make doses for the whole world— prohibit the use of those antibiotics except in animals that are entitled tohuman rights.
